Greetings! So it's been a few weeks since we last communicated with you, we have been busy working out flights and logistics and the following is an update of where you can fish our beloved Zambezi:

  1. Upper Zambezi, flights in and out of Victoria Falls from Johannesburg with : Lodges open: Shackletons and Sekoma
  2. Lower Zambezi, flights in and out of Lusaka from Johannesburg with and : Lodges open: Kiambi and Mukalya
  3. Upper Zambezi – Namibia, flights in and out of Kasane from Johannesburg with , road transfer to Katima: Lodges open: Zambezi Mubala

Chobe River/Zambezi River/Kasai Channel - Namibia – Flights in and out of Kasane from Johannesburg with , bookings will be taken provisionally from June onwards as we are still awaiting the small river border to open between Kasane and Impalila Island; Lodges to be open soon: Ichingo and Chobe Princesses Houseboats. We are currently working with the holding company to ensure all solutions are being put to bed urgently.

Our Zambezi Awaits!

Fisherfolk are amongst the highest level of optimists that are to be found, anywhere! I have spent the last couple of months (now being based in Knysna) working out the waters in the area and we are able to offer our clients one on one sessions that are professionally run re the logistics and guiding levels you would expect from us at TigerFishingZambezi. We have invested in small licensed boats and have our own private access to the upper reaches Knysna Lagoon. We have the right flys and knowledge and can give you a full day on the water that you wont forget.

Parting (vaccine) Shot!

One of our clients is a highly placed employee at the biggest medical aid scheme in Southern Africa. We recently received comms that gave us real hope and indicates that we could be close to the end of this nightmare. As much as we want our business to resume back to normal he assures me they want they want and will make sure that South Africans will be vaccinated as a matter of urgency. The latest indication is that we will start to see vaccines given to members early May, that’s just over a month away! As was the case with Yellow Fever, proof of jab cards will be issued and the need for those horrible Covid tests should fall away, we hope!
