About Mukalya Private Fishing & Safari Lodge

To date our focus has been mainly on the Upper Zambezi, due to logistics and pricing generally being more acceptable to our SA clients. I grew up in Lusaka and my many trips home have included visits to the Lower Zambezi which has been the top choice for international safari and fishing clients. I have been lucky enough to fish upper and lower often and I highly recommend the Lower Zambezi as an option.

The lodge is situated approx. 30mins from the Kariba Dam Wall and clients get to fish the small rapids and riffles that hold big tiger. This is lure, fly and bait paradise and there is hardly any fishing pressure due to no other fishing lodges in the vicinity. The lodge is upmarket and offers everything one could want including an easy three hour road transfer to Lusaka. Meals are superb and served with flair, sundowners are set up on islands or on the very fishable boat dock.
