Christopher and I had a wonderful stay at Shackletons.

Christopher remarked that it was better than staying at a hotel because we were made to feel so at home, the staff were friendly and always available but not hovering around. A delicate balance that you have got perfectly right.

The food was fantastic too! Every meal was mouth-wateringly good and the deserts just too delicious to resist. Breakfast on the balcony looking over the water with birds in the trees above and fish eagles on the far bank was soothing to the soul.

Our guide Charles Junior was also absolutely amazing. He was patient, experienced and excellent company, it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the river from glassy calm sunrises and sunsets to the fast moving currents and lazy drifting while waiting for the Tigers to smash and run.

Thanks to you all, it was a truly memorable and enjoyable holiday, we are looking forward to experiencing it again.
